This is why many pro\u00adduc\u00adtion busi\u00adnesses are swit\u00adching to auto\u00adma\u00adted cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtion rules and rea\u00adli\u00adstic value tables in their work plan\u00adning. They are repla\u00adcing expe\u00adri\u00adence values and manu\u00adally main\u00adtai\u00adned Excel sheets. We wan\u00adted to opti\u00admise the pro\u00adduc\u00adtion pro\u00adces\u00adses and reduce our through\u00adput times.\u201d Based on a stan\u00addard sys\u00adtem for cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtion, they also wan\u00adted to increase plan\u00adning relia\u00adbi\u00adlity and make the deter\u00admi\u00adned data more cre\u00addi\u00adble. Here, the plan was for the solu\u00adtion to have a bidi\u00adrec\u00adtional con\u00adnec\u00adtion to the PPS sys\u00adtem used at the time, and to be intui\u00adtive for the user and adap\u00adta\u00adble for indi\u00advi\u00addual pro\u00adces\u00adses. The busi\u00adness lear\u00adned about Erfurt-based HSi GmbH through a con\u00adver\u00adsa\u00adtion at a trade fair. With HSplan, the IT pro\u00advi\u00adder, spe\u00adcia\u00adli\u00adsing in adap\u00adtive cos\u00adting and work plan\u00adning solu\u00adti\u00adons for pro\u00adduc\u00adtion com\u00adpa\u00adnies, had soft\u00adware in their range that could meet the sel\u00adec\u00adtion cri\u00adte\u00adria of the Chem\u00adnitz-based machine tool manufacturer.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Connection to ERP prevents duplicate data retention<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>HSi solu\u00adti\u00adons have a tech\u00adno\u00adlogy base which includes the pre\u00adcon\u00adfi\u00adgu\u00adred modu\u00adles with cut values, machi\u00adnes or work pro\u00adces\u00adses, for exam\u00adple for tur\u00adning, mil\u00adling, dril\u00adling and grin\u00adding. These can be adapted to the com\u00adpany-spe\u00adci\u00adfic pro\u00adduc\u00adtion and assem\u00adbly con\u00addi\u00adti\u00adons. \u201cToday, HSplan is bidi\u00adrec\u00adtion\u00adally lin\u00adked to our ERP solu\u00adtion,\u201d Maxi Klaus\u00adnit\u00adzer explains the chan\u00adged situa\u00adtion at NILES-SIMMONS. \u201cThis sim\u00adpli\u00adfies the effort invol\u00adved in plan\u00adning by a great deal, because all the mas\u00adter data is stored in the ERP, our work plan\u00adning solu\u00adtion picks up this data auto\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally, and the modu\u00adles and rules can then use it.\u201d This is how duplicate<br>\ndata reten\u00adtion is avo\u00adided. In this way, dimen\u00adsi\u00adons, weights, times or parts lists can be used by modu\u00adles and rules directly. Once all the data is trans\u00adfer\u00adred, HSplan pre\u00adpa\u00adres the work plan. Here, pre\u00adcon\u00adfi\u00adgu\u00adred pro\u00adcess modu\u00adles can be added and fil\u00adled with the cor\u00adre\u00adspon\u00adding para\u00adme\u00adters of the work\u00adpie\u00adces: such as dia\u00adme\u00adter or weight. Here, the final work plan is gene\u00adra\u00adted step by step via an intui\u00adtive menu navi\u00adga\u00adtion. Once the plan\u00adning pro\u00adcess is com\u00adplete, the work plan goes back to&nbsp;the<br>\nERP where the pro\u00adduc\u00adtion order can finally be prepared.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Adapted just once, and planning time is reduced in the long&nbsp;term<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As well as the auto\u00adma\u00adted crea\u00adtion of work plans, at NILES-SIMMONS, they also bene\u00adfit from the adap\u00adta\u00adbi\u00adlity of the solu\u00adtion: \u201cThe one-time effort invol\u00adved in crea\u00adting our own logics pays off in the long term when we can reduce times and gene\u00adrate stan\u00addard data in the work plan\u00adning,\u201d says Maxi Klaus\u00adnit\u00adzer. They adjus\u00adted many of the pre\u00adset rules to suit their own situa\u00adtions and inte\u00adgra\u00adted plau\u00adsi\u00adbi\u00adlity tests. This means that the user would receive a noti\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion if a value for HSplan was miss\u00ading or if a com\u00adpo\u00adnent excee\u00added the maxi\u00admum dimen\u00adsi\u00adons of the pro\u00adduc\u00adtion machi\u00adnes. \u201cFor exam\u00adple, we took the exis\u00adting rules for grin\u00adding from HSplan, loo\u00adked at the basis for cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtion and, tog\u00ade\u00adther with our col\u00adle\u00adagues in pro\u00adduc\u00adtion, we adjus\u00adted the spe\u00adci\u00adfied time to suit the actual sta\u00adtus of the machine,\u201d Maxi Klaus\u00adnit\u00adzer explains the pro\u00adcess. On one hand, this gives you rea\u00adli\u00adstic plan\u00adned times and, in a fur\u00adther stage, you can get to the bot\u00adtom of the cause of any delays.<br>\nHere, NILES-SIMMONS also uses the module HSmdae for mass data chan\u00adges: This makes it pos\u00adsi\u00adble to update all work plans which are refe\u00adren\u00adced in an updated value table auto\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally with just one click of the mouse. \u201cThe mass data change saves us a con\u00adsidera\u00adble amount of time, because we no lon\u00adger have to open each work plan to make the change manu\u00adally,\u201d says Maxi Klausnitzer.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Allocating assembly effort in a rules-based system or manually<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For deter\u00admi\u00adning the plan\u00adned time of assem\u00adbly pro\u00adces\u00adses, NILES-SIMMONS also uses HSmont: HSmont con\u00adta\u00adins various search algo\u00adrithms which can be used to allo\u00adcate assem\u00adbly times to parts list items auto\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally, in a rules-based sys\u00adtem, or manu\u00adally. The assem\u00adbly effort is stored in the mas\u00adter data for various assem\u00adbly groups. For spe\u00adcial parts, you also have the option of ente\u00adring the effort manu\u00adally. Cor\u00adre\u00adspon\u00adding to the ent\u00adries, the module then out\u00adputs the plan\u00adned times for set-up time and time per&nbsp;part.<\/p>\n<h3><strong> Optimally adjusted for modified framework conditions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Every year, working with HSplan and HSmont, NILES-SIMMONS crea\u00adtes around 6000 work plans for parts pro\u00adduc\u00adtion and around 1500 work plans for assem\u00adbly. Plan\u00adning relia\u00adbi\u00adlity will also remain a big focus in the future, and the busi\u00adness will con\u00adti\u00adnue to rely on the adap\u00adta\u00adbi\u00adlity of HSplan: \u201cThe plan\u00adning experts at HSi have&nbsp; deli\u00advered a pro\u00adgramme that we can use to adapt cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtion modu\u00adles after any occur\u00adrence,\u201d sum\u00adma\u00adri\u00adses Maxi Klaus\u00adnit\u00adzer.
