Today we would like to use our web\u00adsite to report on a pro\u00adject close to the heart of our employee J\u00f6rg Leh\u00admann (Head of Assembly).<\/p>\n

Most recently, in March 2024, J\u00f6rg was repea\u00adtedly on the road in the Demo\u00adcra\u00adtic Repu\u00adblic of Congo on behalf of the non-pro\u00adfit asso\u00adcia\u00adti\u00adons PEPA e.V. and Hujambo Habari \u2013 Schul\u00adpro\u00adjekt Ost\u00adafrika e.V.,<\/a> more pre\u00adcis\u00adely in the pro\u00advin\u00adces of North Kivu and South Kivu, to dis\u00adtri\u00adbute new dona\u00adti\u00adons in the war-torn regions.<\/p>\n

PEPA and Hujambo Habari are smal\u00adler cha\u00adri\u00adta\u00adble asso\u00adcia\u00adti\u00adons that pro\u00advide sup\u00adport with inde\u00adpen\u00addent but also joint pro\u00adjects in the DR Congo. The pri\u00admary objec\u00adti\u00adves of the part\u00adner\u00adship include direct sup\u00adport for local social and edu\u00adca\u00adtio\u00adnal work in con\u00adjunc\u00adtion with the deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of com\u00admu\u00adnity net\u00adworks and struc\u00adtures. All pro\u00adjects depend on the vol\u00adun\u00adt\u00adary and pri\u00advate initia\u00adtive of sup\u00adport\u00aders and contributors.<\/p>\n

In addi\u00adtion to the many vol\u00adun\u00adteers, thanks also go to Tim Hens\u00adlee (Engi\u00adnee\u00adring Mana\u00adger) from Hendrick\u00adson USA.<\/p>\n

The US-based com\u00adpany has alre\u00adady purcha\u00adsed over 20 lar\u00adger machi\u00adnes from NILES-SIMMONS on which axles are pro\u00addu\u00adced. After suc\u00adcessful accep\u00adtance of the machi\u00adnes, the axles pro\u00addu\u00adced on them (approx. 50 units) are scrap\u00adped. The resul\u00adting funds are dona\u00adted to the Hujambo Habari aid pro\u00adject. In the mean\u00adtime, over 5,000 euros have been rai\u00adsed. This has alre\u00adady been used to finance the trans\u00adpor\u00adta\u00adtion of 200 sewing machi\u00adnes, tools and medi\u00adci\u00adnes. The money has also been used to trans\u00adport the LO Truck to Africa.<\/p>\n
