NSH goes green: New photovoltaic system at our location in Chemnitz
Our NILES-SIMMONS brand location in Chemnitz is now becoming even greener. In cooperation with CCE Deutschland, a new photovoltaic system has been installed on the roofs of our production halls in recent weeks, enabling us to cover a significant proportion of our electricity requirements ourselves.
Together for sustainable energy generation
We will be producing our own electricity at our site in Chemnitz from 2025. A new photovoltaic system has been installed on the roofs of the NILES-SIMMONS production and assembly halls in collaboration with CCE Germany. With a size of 650KWp, we are able to generate up to 625,000kWh of electricity per year and use 80–90% of it here at the NILES-SIMMONS site.
This forward-looking project is a further step in our commitment to sustainability and renewable energies. The photovoltaic system is expected to save around 295 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. This not only enables us to make an important contribution to climate protection, but also to reduce our energy costs and increase our independence from fossil fuels.
Our collaboration with CCE Deutschland, an expert in renewable energies, enables us to use the latest technologies while benefiting from their extensive experience. Together, we are setting an example for environmentally conscious action in industry and showing that economic success and sustainability can go hand in hand.
This project is not only a milestone for the NSH Group, but also an important step for the Chemnitz region, which is increasingly establishing itself as a pioneer in renewable energies. We are proud to be part of this movement. Together we are shaping a green future – for our company, our employees and the environment.
