Machine Building | Heavy Duty
For more Security.
For a wide range of technologies and demanding materials
The Heavy Duty segment encompasses workpieces that, due to their dimensions, weight, and materials, place the highest demands on manufacturing and often must withstand extreme loads. These include components with lengths of up to 9.5 meters, workpiece weights of up to 15 metric tons, and swivel diameters of up to 1.5 meters.
The spectrum ranges from tubular components to large crankshafts and axle assemblies to conveyor rollers—to name just a few examples.
Machining these workpieces requires maximum stability of the machines and manufacturing technology, as well as high-performance solutions for part handling, automation, technology, and process reliability.
As a technology provider, we not only utilize established manufacturing technologies at the highest level but also develop and implement customer-specific machining strategies for the most demanding applications. These include, among others, 5‑axis machining, gear cutting, power skiving, complex internal machining, and the rolling of highly stressed radii and surfaces.
Our horizontal CNC lathes and TURN-MILL machining centers are used for these applications. Thanks to their modular design and the wide range of options for technology integration, the machines can be configured precisely to meet specific requirements. This results in customized manufacturing solutions that ensure the highest levels of precision, productivity, and process reliabilit
