Crankshafts are still an important part of sales volume. NILES-SIMMONS Industrieanlagen, which has been part of the NILES-SIMMONS-HEGENSCHEIDT Group since 2001, offers machines and complete production lines for machining of crankshafts.
In the meantime, innovative solutions have found their solid place in our range. »With our multi-product structure and extensive technological know-how, we can provide pathbreaking machining concepts for other industry as well. That is why we like to speak of technical solutions instead of products. For example, our processes are unique in the railway industry« says Klaus Kräher
Rail customers want to travel safely and comfortably. Due to the fact that strong braking creates flat spots on the wheel, re-profiling is necessary. Exactly in this area NILES-SIMMONS-HEGENSCHEIDT is the market leader. »Almost every high-speed train in China is equipped with wheels that we have supplied or reprofiled. We are also very strong on the Indian market«, says the managing director.
Other customers of the company can be found in the aviation industry, most oft them manufacturers of turbine or landing gear components. For this purpose NILES-SIMMONS Industrieanlagen offers a new, complex machining concept. The automation of the complete process is also an important focus in addition to the machine function. Beside of an automatic machining process, the workpiece is also automatically measured, loaded and unloaded as well as a tool automatically loadeding process.
‘Closed door machining’ provides a significant increase in productivity and ensures zero-defect-production, which is very important in the aerospace sector, due to the high value of the components. »We provide customer- and application-specific solutions, no standards«, explains Klaus Kräher
New solution concepts and employee training will also be continue important in the future- after all, NILES-SIMMONS Industrieanlagen recruits more than 30 apprentices per year. After their training and a good performance we take over the most of them. »Innovation is one of our strenghts«, says Klaus Kräher, »and our employees are the key of it!«
